Furthermore, our coffee is **100% organic**, chemical-free, allowing each cup to retain not only its pure flavor, but also the **natural, nutritional, and beneficial properties** of each bean.
The environment in which it grows is equally decisive: our plantations are located at the heights of the Andean mountain range, more than 1,900 meters above sea level. This privileged altitude, combined with the mountainous microclimate, gives our coffee an exceptional sensory profile, with intense aromas, sweet notes, and a smooth, long finish.
We produce exclusively Arabica coffee, recognized for its delicate and sophisticated flavor, preferred by specialty coffee lovers around the world. Within this category, our coffee is classified as Excellent UGQ (Usually Good Quality): carefully selected beans that meet the highest export standards, guaranteeing a coffee with medium body, balanced acidity, and a rich, consistent, and memorable flavor.

History

El Líbano, Tolima, Colombia, has always had agriculture in its DNA. Coffee was its star crop, but over time, activities changed, leading to the growth of livestock farming and a resurgence of mining, as companies exploit gold and silver today. Another treasure of this municipality in northern Tolima, nestled in the Central Mountain Range, is its culture. Great writers and composers were born in this special place. However, it is also a land of dance, theater, and many other expressions of knowledge.
Today, we will dedicate a space to a coffee company that is now in its third generation and is shaping up its fourth. Polkcafé is the high-end product from a farm of the same name where beans are grown with high technical standards. The coffee produced on this property also enjoys certifications from the Rainforest Alliance, Cofco International, and the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA), due to the excellent agricultural processes and practices aimed at ensuring coffee quality throughout all processes.
This coffee industry has been doing its job very well for decades, and that's why it produces coffee with the utmost care at every stage. This is why it devotes the utmost attention to stages such as the seedbed, planting, harvesting, pulping, fermentation, washing, drying, threshing, roasting, grinding, packaging, and distribution.
